Sinowatcher at ITS World Congress 2024 – Driving Innovation in Road Safety

From September 16th to 20th, 2024, Dubai hosted the 30th ITS World Congress, bringing together over 20,000 transport experts, innovators, and decision-makers. Sinowatcher Technology LTD was honored to participate as an exhibitor, where we showcased our latest solutions to improve road safety and offer adaptable, efficient urban mobility systems.

Smart Solutions for Road Safety

At Sinowatcher, our mission is to deliver reliable, adaptable products that enhance road safety while meeting the unique needs of various environments. During the congress, we presented three innovative conceptual products designed to address today’s mobility challenges.

Smart Solutions for Road Safety

Safety Bollards: Simple, Effective Pedestrian Protection

Our Safety Bollards are a practical solution for locations where a full traffic light system isn’t necessary but pedestrian safety remains a priority. This system warns pedestrians attempting to cross during a red light through clear visual and audible cues, including a panel that displays “Please do not cross” and 100mm traffic lights for added visibility. When it’s safe to cross, pedestrians can request the green light using a manual button, ensuring safe passage.

This solution is perfect for urban areas that need pedestrian safety measures without the complexity of a full intersection system, making it cost-effective and easy to manage.

Pedestrian Totem: Improving Visibility and Accessibility

Our Pedestrian Totem takes safety a step further by combining advanced technology with accessibility features. It includes a 200mm pedestrian light and a countdown timer to help users gauge how much time remains to cross safely. Additionally, our latest development “ Inclusive Push button” not only provides tactile feedback but also vibrates to confirm that the crossing request has been successfully sent, making it more accessible for all users.

The raised pictorial panel on the side offers visually impaired pedestrians a clear understanding of the crossing layout. To enhance visibility in crowded areas, the totem features LED sidebars that change color with the pedestrian light. A variable message panel on the front provides clear instructions like “Cross” and “Do not cross” in multiple languages, improving communication in diverse environments. As a final touch, we’ve integrated an LED city symbol at the base of the totem, and for this event, we chose the iconic Burj Khalifa to represent Dubai.

1-Watt Vehicle Traffic Light: Energy-Efficient and Eco-Friendly

Our 1-watt Vehicle Traffic Light is designed with sustainability in mind. This eco-friendly solution supports the growing shift toward renewable energy systems by operating efficiently on 24Vdc power. Its low power consumption makes it perfect for areas with limited access to traditional power grids and ideal for renewable energy applications.

Beyond its environmental benefits, this traffic light is highly efficient in portable systems, allowing for longer operational times in temporary or remote locations. This makes it an excellent choice for municipalities looking to balance sustainability with reliable traffic control solutions.
