What happened to the only city in Vietnam without traffic lights?

Da Lat, a former French colony about 300 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City, has become one of the most popular holiday resorts in southern Vietnam. It is Located in a small town with an altitude of 1500m, with annual average temperature around 15-24℃, and   autumn-like weather year-round. The climate here is mild and pleasant all year round, and there are countless beautiful flowers growing in this land. It is a good place to travel all year round. Compared to other cities, especially in summer, where the climate can be very hot or humid, but in Da Lat the climate is refreshing and pleasant, even in summer you don't feel very hot. Da Lat used to be the only city in Vietnam without traffic lights. Previously, Da Lat had offered a $40,000 reward for a solution to the traffic problem.

With an investment of $140 billion, Da Lat is no longer the only city in Vietnam without traffic lights.

The People's Committee of Da Lat City in Lam Dong province has installed recently  traffic lights on many roads in the city after consulting experts and the public.

The traffic lights have been basically installed and will be fully operational by the end of 2021 after re-testing.
