Este sem\u00e1foro, de 200 mm de tama\u00f1o, se utiliza habitualmente en cruces y sirve para se\u00f1alizar el tr\u00e1fico. Como puede ver en la tabla siguiente, hemos sustituido 6 LED por 3 LED de montaje superficial de alto flujo suministrados por Nichia, Jap\u00f3n. Proporcionan una mayor intensidad luminosa manteniendo un bajo vataje. Este tipo de LED proporciona una mayor intensidad y, por tanto, un mejor rendimiento en aplicaciones de iluminaci\u00f3n de tr\u00e1fico. Adem\u00e1s, se trata de un sem\u00e1foro eficiente desde el punto de vista energ\u00e9tico, ya que los m\u00f3dulos luminosos no consumen m\u00e1s de 9 W para el verde y 7 W para el amarillo y el
